Case study

Fintech features animation

Feature sections on most SaaS websites rely on static screenshots or marketing graphics. I wanted to show how animation and interactivity can do a better job, not just making the section look premium, but giving visitors a chance to see how it feels to use the product before they sign up.

The grid layout is a pattern used by companies like Linear and Vercel for showcasing features. I took that foundation and added a layer of animation and interactivity in Rive. The biggest technical challenge was making the interactive states bulletproof - impossible to break regardless of how the user interacts with them, and making sure to not slow down the browsing flow.

CTA Button • Micro-interactionA hover micro-interaction for an Add to cart button. The icon animates to show packages dropping into the cart symbolizing real life shopping.
AI chatbot • Product ShowcaseA hero section product showcase for a fictional AI-powered inbox assistant called Mailo. Designed and animated from scratch. Built to show the workflow of the product within seconds of landing on the website.
Integrations • Feature CardLines animating outward from the central product to each integration icon is a clean way to visualize connectivity. Hovering these icons reveal a short description for each integration.
Task Manager Sidebar • Interactive UIA fully interactive sidebar component for a fictional task management app, inspired by Todoist. Designed in Figma and animated in Rive completely from scratch. Collapsible navigation, expandable project list, and buttons ready to be connected to JavaScript. Special attention was paid to animation speed. Every transition is fast enough not to interrupt the user's workflow.
User ReviewsA social proof section with an auto-shuffling stack of review cards. The constant motion draws attention naturally, and the stacked layout keeps the section compact. It removes the need to display a dozen reviews side by side. On hover, the rating badge shrinks and the cards expand for better readability.
Upload animationA remake of a WeTransfer UI animation - recreated in Rive as an exercise in replicating production-quality motion.
